HIST 333: The Road to Revolution (1 Unit) This course is designed to immerse students in the ideas and events that led to the American Revolution and independence from Britain. Through a variety of readings and activities students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the attitudes, cultures, tensions, and motivations of North America’s residents and British imperial officials in this period. After an in-depth investigation of the tensions rising from the end of the French and Indian War (1754-1763) and the emerging desire for separation from England, we will spend a portion of the semester engaged in a simulation game based in New York City.
