E&M 375: Health Economics (1 Unit) Prerequisite: E&M 101 or permission of instructor. A microeconomic and institutional analysis of health care services in the U.S., with particular reference to issues of cost and access. Topics include the demand for medical care, health insurance, economic regulation of hospitals, the markets for physicians and medical education, and the political economy of health care.
