Accounting-Corporate Track Minor

Information on Minors

The minors in accounting, economics, finance, and management are not open to students with a major in the Economics and Management Department.

Students may not choose more than one minor in the Economics and Management Department.

All courses for the minor must be taken for a numerical grade, except those offered only on a credit/no credit basis.

Requirements for Minor in Accounting-Corporate Track

Five Units in Economics and Management, Including:

E&M 211: Financial Accounting (1 Unit)
E&M 212: Managerial and Cost Accounting (1 Unit)
and either
E&M 311: Intermediate Accounting I (1 Unit)
OR
E&M 312: Intermediate Accounting II (1 Unit)

Plus Two From:

E&M 248: Financial Modeling with Excel (1 Unit)
E&M 311: Intermediate Accounting I (1 Unit)
OR
E&M 312: Intermediate Accounting II (1 Unit)
(if not taken above)
E&M 313: Federal Income Taxation (1 Unit)
E&M 316: Auditing (1 Unit)
E&M 348: Financial Management (1 Unit)
E&M 310: Governmental and Not-for-Profit Accounting (1/2 Unit)
and (with approval of the E&M department chair)
E&M 389: Selected Topics (1 Unit)
