PK-12 Education Concentration

The PK-12 education concentration prepares teacher candidates to be eligible for certification in grades PK-12. It addresses preparation standards for PK-12 education approved by the Michigan Department of Education.

Completion of this concentration also requires completion of a music education or world language (Spanish) with education concentration major. Individuals interested in this concentration are welcome to contact the Education Department for advising.

Required Courses for Spanish Education

Students who are interested in declaring a Spanish major with education concentration and PK-12 education concentration must schedule an appointment with the chair of the Modern Languages and Cultures Department to discuss their plan of study and options.
