Requirements for Minor in Spanish

A Minimum of Six Units at the 200-level or Higher, Including:

At Least One Unit From:

SPAN 314: Storytellers (1 Unit)
SPAN 315: Narrative Arts in the Spanish-Speaking World: Textual Analysis and Interpretation (1 Unit)
SPAN 316: Music, Painting, and Poetry (1 Unit)
SPAN 350: Gender in the Spanish-Speaking World (1 Unit)
SPAN 360: Key Issues in Spanish Peninsular Literature and Culture (1 Unit)
SPAN 361: Key Issues in Latin American Literature and Culture (1 Unit)
SPAN 362: Spanish and Bilingualism in the United States (1 Unit)
SPAN 372: Afro-Latinx: TransAmerican Identities and Histories (1 unit)
SPAN 389: Selected Topics (1 Unit)
SPAN 398: Practicum (1/2 Unit)
SPAN 401: Seminar (1/2 Unit)
SPAN 402: Seminar (1 Unit)
AND
SPAN 400: Senior Seminar (.5 Unit)

Additional Requirements

All courses for the minor must be taken for a numerical grade (except SPAN 398).
A maximum of one unit of Advanced Placement credit can count toward the minor.
