Requirements for Economics and Management Major With Emphasis (10 Units)
- The 9-10 units used to fulfill major with emphasis requirements must be taken for a numerical grade.
A Minimum of 10 Units in Economics and Management
(nine for the emphasis in international business and international economics), including the following list. Unless approved by the department in advance, E&M 201 and E&M 202 must be taken at Albion College. The Following Cognates Must Be Completed for a Major With Emphasis:
The Economics & Management Department requires students to show proficiency-level equivalent to MATH 120 (College Algebra) to earn a major or minor in the department. Should a student test into MATH 100, that student must take BOTH MATH 100 AND MATH 120 to fulfill the cognate requirement. Should a student test into MATH 120 or MATH 127 (Trigonometry), the student can take the respective course to fulfill the cognate requirement. If a student tests into MATH 141 (Calculus I), MATH 143 (Calculus II), or beyond, proficiency will be met, thus fulfilling the MATH 120 cognate requirement. One Statistics Course From:
