Theatre Minor

Requirements for Minor in Theatre

Electives comprised of any THEA courses not listed above. At least 1 elective must be at the 300-level.

All minors must enroll in THEA 100 : Theatre Production Seminar every spring semester. (0 units, taken on a Credit/No Credit basis). Students must successfully complete a minimum of 2 sections of THEA 100 to complete the minor.
Theatre minors are required to make a significant contribution to any 2 productions of the academic year. Participating in 2 productions in the same semester, or 1 production each semester is acceptable. Minors will register for Theatre Production Seminar (THEA 100) each spring semester, and will receive credit if they have contributed to 2 out of the 4 productions of the academic year. Acceptable participation includes: Being a member of the cast, design team, stage management, run crew, costume and set construction teams, or paint/props crew. Any paid labor does not count towards fulfillment of the participation requirement for the minor. In the event that a student is unable to participate in any of the aforementioned capacities, and appropriate “significant contribution” will be prescribe by the faculty.
All courses for the minor must be taken for a numerical grade.
