MLAC 104: Introduction to Latin American Studies

This course introduces the interdisciplinary study of Latin America and the Latin American diaspora in the United States as manifested through literature, media, history, and social realities.  The course emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration across various fields of study and provides students with a basic knowledge base for understanding Latin America and Latino/as in the United States in both a contemporary and historical perspective.
