EDUC 398: Shurmur Mentorship-Practicum

Prerequisites: EDUC 195 , EDUC 196 , junior standing, and permission of the Fritz Shurmur Center for Teacher Development and Education Department.
Students are paired with a mentor and spend 75 hours in a setting serving children, youth, and families, in order to develop practical knowledge and skill as well as complete an individualized inquiry project. Offered on a credit/no credit basis. Enrollment in this course is optional for those completing the educational studies, teaching English as a second language, and/or grade-band concentration programs of study. Staff.
